When we remove your braces, we will begin the retention stage of your treatment. The retention phase lasts for a minimum of 24 months. Your final orthodontic result depends on your retainers and your cooperation, so follow through with the hard work you’ve put in so far. Remember to remove your retainer before brushing, and brush your retainer before placing it back in your mouth.

In addition to standard acrylic and wire retainers, we offer several different types of retainers. The type of retainer you receive is individually selected.

Retention is every bit as important as your active phase of treatment. To retain your teeth, the bone has to support the teeth in their improved position. This takes time and is why retainer wear is imperative.
